PORTSMOUTH — After months of debate and three public meetings, the Planning Board on Thursday, Oct. 9, unanimously approved preliminary plans for an affordable housing development at the corner of Bristol Ferry Road/Turnpike Avenue and Sprague Street, despite objections from several abutters.
The project is proposed by Church Community Housing Corporation (CCHC), which is also finishing up construction on a senior housing complex, along with a senior center, further north on Bristol Ferry.
