WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita State alumna Kiah Duggins, who died earlier this year on an American Airlines flight from Wichita to Washington, is being honored with the renaming of the Shocker Support Locker.
Wichita State unveiled the newly named Kiah Duggins Shocker Support Locker during its annual Heritage Gala on Thursday night, honoring the 2025 alumni award recipients.
Duggins was one of 67 people who died aboard Flight 5342 when it collided with an Army Blackhawk helicopter midair near Reagan National Airport.
Before graduating in 2017, Duggins co-founded the Shocker Food Locker during her time as chief of staff in student government. To honor her legacy, the administration requested that the locker be renamed to recognize one of its founders.
