BURBANK, S.D. (KTIV) - Whimp’s Place closed its doors Thursday, Oct. 9.

According to a statement on the Whimp’s Place website , the restaurant is temporarily closing to revamp and reorganize operations.

The owners said they will be taking a rest and the doors will stay closed until they are ready to re-open. They expressed appreciation for the support from the community.

“This decision is personal and heartfelt and was not easy. We want to thank our customers for continued support and patronage and apologize for any inconvenience,” the owners said.

Whimp’s Place will entertain any needs for private parties, catering and special events. Questions can be sent to whimpsplace@gmail.com .

Toby’s Lounge in Meckling (31364 Meckling Road) is open and will continue to be open.
