Federal immigration authorities made multiple arrests, including a WGN employee, after apparently targeting a small group of landscapers in Lincoln Square in a chaotic scene that ended with the feds rear-ending a woman in her vehicle and speeding off Friday morning.
The woman, who lives in the area and was rear-ended by federal authorities watched as her boyfriend’s car was towed hours later. She said the agents drove off immediately after hitting her but she declined to comment further and wouldn’t give her name.
Others described the scene as “violent” and “horrifying.”
“I heard screaming and I went to the window and I saw a man being taken by a few [federal] agents. They shoved him in a minivan very violently,” said Jessica Felker, who lives on West Foster Avenue just east of North Li
