NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that he is hopeful the Ministry of External Affairs will grant permission for the Gulf visit. The Chief Minister stated that there are plans to visit the Gulf countries and expressed optimism that permission will be received.
His response came after it was pointed out that the trip, scheduled to begin on the 16th, had been denied permission. The Chief Minister added that there is nothing significant about the denial and that the matter now depends on whether permission will be granted. Minister Saji Cherian was also scheduled to accompany the Chief Minister on the trip.
