WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Oct. 8 in connection with a burglary and sexual assault incident.

Ali Williams Jr., 22, of Kingstree, is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of criminal sexual conduct, according to Investigator Jalisa Brown.

Deputies responded on Oct. 3 to a home burglary on Lory Avenue in Kingstree.

An investigation showed that a victim was inside the home when Williams forcibly entered and attempted to sexually assault the victim against their will. The victim attempted to call 911, but Williams took the victim’s phone and threw it across the room.

The victim struggled to stop Williams from continuing the assault.
