HOULTON, Maine (WABI/WAGM) - The Houlton Town Manager has been put on administrative leave following his arrest last month.
Also, three council members, including the chair, resigned Friday due to reported threats.
27-year-old Town Manager Cameron Clark was arrested for domestic violence assault and tampering with a witness.
Clark pleaded not guilty on September 26th.
Court documents say Clark allegedly pushed a victim down a flight of stairs after an argument.
Records show Clark also sent threatening text messages to the victim.
He is set to be arraigned in February.
Up until today, the council had decided to leave Clark on the job which angered some residents and led to a vote of no confidence from several local agencies including the police union.
