ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Henry County detention officer has been arrested and fired for “the introduction of contraband at the Henry County Jail,” according to the sheriff’s office.
Miles J. Moxie was arrested after detention staff discovered contraband inside the jail, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office did not specify what the contraband was.
Moxie has been charged with violation of oath of office and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. He has been fired, according to the sheriff’s office.
