WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) - Washington County Deputies made multiple arrests, Thursday night, in connection with a scheme to smuggle contraband into Washington State Prison.
Deputies made a traffic stop around 8:15 p.m. on a vehicle in Davisboro. Deputies reportedly saw packages wrapped in cellophane and a drone inside the vehicle. The packages were stated to be contraband intended for the prison.
A search of the vehicle found large amounts of marijuana, cell phones, lighters, a handgun, and other items.
46-year-old Shawnathon Faison of Hephzibah, and 57-year-old Calvin Walker of Augusta were arrested and charged with: • Trading with Inmates • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute • Criminal Trespass • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime •
