PROSPER, Texas — An employee of Celina ISD was arrested, charged and placed on administrative leave following an altercation Tuesday night in Prosper, police said.
According to the Prosper Police Department, Kristine Coates, 50, of Prosper, was taken into custody after getting into an altercation with a man in the 400 block of North Church Street, down the road from Robert and Robbie Reynolds Middle School.
PPD said officers booked Coates into the Collin County Jail that night and charged her with injury to a child/elderly/disabled individual.
Celina ISD confirmed Coates has been employed by the district since November 2023. The district stated that it placed Coates on administrative leave on Thursday, two days after her arrest, and confirmed that the incident occurred outside of school
