At 1:32 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from Saturday 11 p.m. until Sunday 5 a.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon.

The weather service describes, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected The Gorge and Simcoe Highlands.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
