As Canadians head into the Thanksgiving long weekend, the weather across the Prairies is beginning to shift. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, warm, sunny days will give way to cooler, rainy days this weekend with the potential for snow in parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Milder winter in the Prairies

Sarah Perrault, managing editor of The Old Farmer’s Almanac, says overall, the Prairies can expect a milder winter.

“Overall, winter is going to have above normal temperatures,” she explained. “Rain is going to be above normal, but snowfall will be below normal.”
