When something is highly uncommon, it becomes routine, almost cliché, to suggest you are more likely to get struck by lightning than that rare event happening.

Chances are, that is probably true. Your chances of getting struck by lightning in your lifetime are just 1 in 15,300.

Did anyone stop for a second and think: Wait, that isn’t nearly as low as I thought it would be? Yeah, so did we. You’re welcome to lose sleep over that later, but that isn’t the point we’re making right now.
