Colorado women’s basketball coach JR Payne is a bit leery about putting too much expectation on freshmen.

There is no question, however, that she sees tremendous potential in Logyn Greer, a 6-foot-4 forward from Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.

“Logyn is as-advertised; like she is really good,” Payne said. “This is totally unfair, because she’s 18 years old and she just got to college, but her skill set is like a very young Breanna Stewart.”

Stewart was a three-time national player of the year at Connecticut and she has won two WNBA MVP awards. Greer certainly isn’t there yet, but there is exceptional all-around skills.

“She can shoot it, she can dribble, she can rebound, she can block shots, she can post up,” Payne said.

“From a skill set, she’s as skilled a player as we’ve ever recruited.”
