ROCKFORD, Ill. — Hard Rock Rockford is supporting a local humane society.

On Friday, the casino donated $2,000 to PAWS Humane Society. A check was presented to the humane society, who were joined by an adoptable puppy named Coolidge , in show of Hard Rock Rockford's support.

The donation was made in recognition of PAWS's continued efforts to take care of and find homes for animals in need.

PAWS Humane Society was founded in 1988 as a spay/neuter clinic but has since become a full-service humane society.

PAWS is located at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Dr. in Rockford and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by appointment.

Anyone interested in adopting can fill out applications for cats , dogs , or view the animals available online.
