WOODSTOCK, Vt. (WCAX) - Tourists are out in force at the pinnacle of the fall foliage season. Officials in Woodstock are reporting stronger numbers than last year despite ongoing efforts to keep out-of-towners away from one neighborhood.

A steady stream of cars and people made their way through downtown Woodstock on Friday. But just a mile or two away, the road leading to the Sleepy Hollow Farm was quiet. For the third year in a row, the town closed Cloudland Road during the peak of the fall tourism season to keep an excessive number of leaf peepers away from the quintessential Vermont property. The word is getting out.
