COLDWATER, MI – A wrong-way driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing head-on into a semi-truck on I-69.

There were no major injuries in the crash, which happened in the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 10, according to a news release from the Coldwater Police Department.

Witnesses called 911 around 12:30 a.m. to report a reckless driver heading south on I-69 into Coldwater. Police said the driver, a 35-year-old woman from Coldwater, had reportedly run off the road into a ditch and then drove back onto the interstate.

Responding officers found the woman driving north in the southbound lanes of I-69, near the U.S. 12 interchange.
