AUBURN — Cam Newton will have plenty to celebrate this weekend, as his jersey number will be retired at halftime of Auburn football 's game against No. 9 Georgia on Saturday, Oct. 11. ( 6:30 p.m. CT, ABC )

On Friday, Oct. 10, Newton shared his biggest desire for the day on an episode of his podcast, "4th&1 with Cam Newton."

“Let this be a message to anybody with navy, orange and blue: If y’all love me like y’all say y’all love me, if y’all can find it in y’all hearts to play some of the best football that you can ever, ever, ever, ever imagine, I would love nothing more than to have a win come Sunday morning," Newton said.

Perhaps the legendary quarterback's presence will stir further passion, but the Tigers, who are a 3.5-point underdog, have a tall order in front of them. T
