Two women created fake profiles on a cleaning service app, then used their access to homes to steal cash, jewelry and high-end purses, according to police.
30-year-old Nikol Quiroga and 49-year-old Sandra Aguillon, both Columbian nationals, were arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of grand theft on Sept. 30. They are suspected in multiple San Fernando Valley burglaries and posed as house cleaners to get into homes and burglarize them, the LAPD said in a news release.
Detectives recovered $50,000 in cash, jewelry, license plates and luxury handbags, alongside Wi-Fi jammers, burglary tools, cellphones, camouflaged trail cameras and GPS trackers from the suspects’ apartment and cars.
