DTRIC Insurance announced its intent to withdraw from Hawaii’s insurance market, according to a notice filed by its parent company, MS&AD.

The company will transition to a run-off insurance carrier — meaning it will stop issuing new policies and renewing existing ones — but will continue to service all active policies and manage claims for several years as it fulfills contractual and statutory obligations.

The Hawaii Insurance Division is advising affected policyholders to contact their insurance agents to explore replacement coverage options.
