PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A camera, a microphone, and a bench.

Pathway Ministries took a new approach this year to spreading awareness of the hundreds experiencing homeless in Peoria every day, hosting an event called “Conversations on a Bench.”

For 24 consecutive hours - starting at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Ministries’ executive director sat on a bench outside their shelter and had one-on-one conversations with around 50 people.

People from all walks of life sat down to chat... including people without a home, doctors, and Mayor Rita Ali.
