TUSCOLA, Ill. (WAND) — Tuscola residents are being asked to conserve water due to a large water leak in Champaign County.

Illinois American Water Company said there was a leak in a line that supplies the City of Tuscola.

According to the city, it is not currently impacting residents and there is no boil order. Tuscola will operate normally from stored water in their water tower.

Residents are being asked to only use water for essential uses, and to avoid watering lawns, washing cars and doing laundry.

The city said the leak is expected to be fixed by Saturday morning.
