EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Pronto pups aren’t the only popular menu items at the Fall Festival, chicken and dumplings are up there too.
Several booths carry them on their menu, and you can see long lines to get them no matter the time of day.
They’re a staple at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, those chicken and dumplings.
“I think the tradition of the Resurrection dumplings. They’re homemade, they’re right there at church, the ladies and the men, we work on these things months ahead of time between getting the chicken ready and the dumplings, cooking them,” Dan Mitchell, Day Chairman for Resurrection Catholic Church’s booth said. “They’ve got it down to a science there.”
