BOISE, Idaho – Bart M. Davis was sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Idaho on Friday, following his nomination by President Trump on March 31, and his confirmation by the U.S. Senate on October 7.
Davis previously served in this role during President Trump’s first term, representing the District of Idaho from September 21, 2017, until February 28, 2021.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Davis will oversee prosecutorial responsibilities for over 44 counties across Idaho. These counties have a combined population of nearly 1.5 million people.
Davis, originally from Rapid City, South Dakota, grew up in Idaho Falls, where he began practicing law. For the past 19 years, he served in the Idaho State Senate.
