NORMAL ( 25News Now ) - Six Illinois State University students who serve with the National Guard have been called into service.
The Associate Dean of Students, Dr. Donald Reed, didn’t have information about why they were called in or where they’re going.
He explained that ISU only receives the notice from military students when they need to step away from campus for service. It’s not privy to details about that service.
What ISU concerns itself with, said Reed, is their studies.
“It happens throughout the year, but we are positioned so that whenever it happens, we can provide support to them at any point in time.”
