HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — Blair County Commissioners commented further on allegations that inmates in the Blair County Prison are being held in cruel and unusual conditions.

The accusations came in a class action lawsuit filed last week. Mice, mold and very little food are just a few of the issues the lawsuit claimed inmates of the Blair County Prison deal with every day.

Following the filing of this class action, Blair County Commissioners said they had already hired a new food service provider and switched pest control companies. Commissioner Dave Kessling agreed there are some issues with the prison and said it's difficult to keep an old building that operates 24-hours a day clean.
