HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Plant Extinction Prevention Program is holding an event at Honolulu Beerworks on Saturday, from 12 to 5 p.m., to help support the conservation of Hawaii’s rarest native plants.
The “Sip for Seedlings” event will also feature the re-release of the Haha-Loha Grape Sour, a new brew crafted in collaboration with the Plant Extinction Prevention Program and the Harold L. Lyon Arboretum.
A portion of proceeds will go to the critical work of saving Hawaii’s rarest native plants. Organizers say, “Every sip will help.”
Honolulu Beerworks is located at 1632 Hart St., in Kalihi.
Conservation experts will be in attendance.
There will also be a mini plant sale.
