It's Week 7, and we have another strong college football slate Saturday. The biggest games feature No. 1 Ohio State visiting No. 17 Illinois, No. 8 Alabama and No. 14 Missouri tangling in Columbia, and No. 7 Indiana and No. 2 Oregon colliding in Eugene. Here, we're going a little deeper to find those hidden gems on the board.
After analyzing BetMGM Sportsbook's college football odds, I found some lines we can take advantage of. Below are the best bets and same-game parlays I came up with, adding to SportsbookWire's expert college football picks and predictions for Week 7.

BOWLING GREEN +10.5 (-115) vs. Toledo / OVER 48.5 (-105)
- Noon (ESPNU)
If you're not familiar with the Battle of I-75, it's a heated rivalry. I had my first in-person taste of this rivalry Nov. 22, 2005, at Doyt L. Perry Stadium in one of those Tuesday night MAC games. QB Bruce Gradkowski and RB Jalen Parmele starred for coach Tom Amstutz as the Toledo Rockets outdueled QB Omar Jacobs and Gregg Brandon's Bowling Green Falcons 44-41 in 2OT. It was one of the best games I've ever been to, and I didn't realize the hatred for each other was so deep.
Bowling Green (2-3, 0-1 MAC) now has Ohio State legend and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George at the helm, and he gets his first taste of the rivalry Saturday. Bowling Green has won 2 of the past 3 meetings, and, oddly enough, the road team has won 4 straight in the series. The last time a home team was Nov. 4, 2020 with Toledo rolling 38-3 during the unique COVID season.
Bowling Green has covered 3 in a row in the series, too, while going 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 7 meetings. The Over has cashed in 4 in a row.
While Toledo (3-2, 1-1) is 4-1 ATS this season, and the Under is 2-0 on the road, strange things occur in this series. Bowling Green is 3-1 ATS in the past 4 games, and the Over is 3-1 in its past 4, and that's the way to go here.
BEST BET: BOWLING GREEN +10.5 (-115) / BEST BET II: OVER 48.5 (-105)
SAME-GAME PARLAY: BOWLING GREEN +10.5 and OVER 48.5 = (+230)
NAVY -10 (-110) at Temple / OVER 52.5 (-110)
- 4 p.m. (ESPN2)
The Navy Midshipmen (5-0, 3-0 American) and Temple Owls (3-2, 1-0) meet at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia for a battle of league unbeatens in the American Conference -- formerly referred to as the AAC.
Navy does what Navy does best -- run the ball. It tops the nation with 317.4 yards per game on the ground, while racking up an impressive 37.4 points per game (PPG) to rank 22nd. You know it's coming as QB Blake Horvath has a team-high 485 rushing yards with 6 TDs and 6.1 yards per carry (YPC), but teams still fail to stop it. RB Alex Tecza is a solid secondary option (379 yards, 4 TDs), with RB Eli Heidenreich (232, 3) as a tremendous tertiary option. Horvath can also pass a little, if needed (839 passing yards, 6 TDs, 71.9 completion rate).
Temple is not bad defensively, but it struggles against the run. The Owls allow 342.0 total yards per game, a respectable 56th in the nation, but they're 96th with 158.0 rushing yards per game allowed. If Navy builds a big lead, and it is running downhill, it is going to be a long day for the Owls.
BEST BET: NAVY -10 (-110) / BEST BET II: OVER 52.5 (-110)
SAME-GAME PARLAY: NAVY -9.5 and OVER 50.5 = (+195)

TROY +7.5 (-110) at Texas State / UNDER 54.5 (-110)
- 8 p.m. (ESPN+)
The Troy Trojans (2-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) and Texas State Bobcats (3-2, 0-1) meet at UCFU Stadium in San Marcos, Texas. It's the first conference game for Troy. Everybody else in the league has had at least 1 game in Sun Belt play.
Troy has won its past 2 games -- at Buffalo 21-17 Sept. 20 and vs. South Alabama 31-24 in OT at home Oct. 4. The Trojans are 3-1 ATS in their past 4 games. Their losses are to Clemson on the road (27-16) and to Memphis (28-7) at home. There is no shame in those. They nearly upset Clemson, too, jumping out to a 16-0 lead and entering the fourth quarter only down 20-16. The Under is 3-1 in their past 4 outings.
Texas State lost at Arkansas State 31-30 last week in its SBC opener even though it was a 13.5-point favorite. The Bobcats failed to cover the past 3 outings, and the Under is 3-0 in that span.
Troy also has revenge on its mind as Texas State won 38-17 in Troy last season, snapping a 12-game winning streak in the series by the Trojans. The Under has cashed in the past 3 installments, too.
BEST BET: TROY +7.5 (-110) / BEST BET II: UNDER 54.5 (-110)
SAME-GAME PARLAY: TROY +8.5 and UNDER 54.5 = (+230)

*-BONUS PLAY - UL Monroe at Coastal Carolina UNDER 46.5 (-110)
- 7 p.m. (ESPN+)
We stick in the Sun Belt as the UL Monroe Warhawks (3-2, 1-0) and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (2-3, 1-1) meet on the turquoise turf at Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina.
We're not looking to a side as ULM was waxed at Northwestern 42-7 last week, and CCU is 1-4 ATS. The best play is the UNDER.
There is a coastal low developing for the weekend, perhaps of the subtropical nature. The current weather forecast for the Myrtle Beach area calls for temperatures in the mid 60's with an 80 percent chance of rain with winds blowing 10-14 MPH.
It's going to be raw, it's going to be slippery, and the passing and kicking games are likely to be affected most.
BEST BET: UNDER 46.5 (-110)
