EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) - Hoof Beats is in their fourth year at the Fall Festival and they say along with more name recognition, they and the veterans they serve are starting to reap more of the benefits of funds from the fest and the West Side Nut Club. The non-profit offers therapeutic horseback services for veterans.

"We wouldn't have been able to do that without the Fall Fest and the Nut Club," says Rachelle Camp with Hoof Beats.

Camp says just in the past year money from the Fall Festival has allowed them to purchase a new horse and her baby for their services. "She's been an amazing addition to the program," says Camp. "She's a big horse, so she can work with and carry, you know, these larger men or full grown adults, and the veterans just love working with her."
