Israel has approved the first phase of a ceasefire with Hamas, marking a significant step toward halting months of fighting. The IDF completed its redeployment inside Gaza as part of the deal, which calls for Hamas to release 20 hostages and the remains of 28 others, while Israel will free more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners.
