CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cuyahoga County grand jury has charged a Perry man with crashing into and killing an innocent bystander while fleeing Euclid police last week.

Jeremiah Bacon, 18, is accused of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular homicide, failure to comply and receiving a stolen vehicle. If convicted, he could face more than 10 years in prison.

According to Euclid police, Bacon was driving a stolen Jeep on Oct. 2 at speeds of 90 mph before crashing into a Chevy Malibu at Nottingham Road and St. Clair Avenue. The driver of the Malibu, Maurice Neil Ford, 54, died at the scene.

Prosecutors said two passengers were with Bacon at the time: Dorian Williamson, 28, of Warren, and Te’Erica Billups, 19, of Bedford. Williamson and Billups were each charged in Wednesday’s indictment
