Wilks Family

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Today, Oct. 10, the family of Elijah Wilks and their representing Attorney B'Ivory LaMarr spoke to the press after reviewing footage of the altercation between Wilks and an off-duty officer, which ended with Wilks dead.

After reviewing the video, Attorney LaMarr stated that he and the family believed that officer involved shooting was justified.

LaMarr explains the video showed Wilks driving up on 49th and Mill Rd. into a construction zone, when he cuts off the off-duty officer when trying to get into the left lane. This caused the off-duty officer to collide his vehicle into Wilks. LaMarr explained both men pulled over and got out of their vehicles.
