MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The City of Mishawaka held a ribbon-cutting Friday for the completion of phase two at Rose Park.

The park's new additions include new pickleball courts, Belgium bowling lanes, and a Bocce Ball court.

Mayor Dave Wood made remarks before they cut the ribbon. City leaders then ceremoniously had the first serve on the pickleball courts, plus the first roll on the Belgium bowling lanes.

Wood stated, "When I first ran for council, 25 years ago, I was going door to door. The park was kind of tired, in need of some improvements, and I heard that on the campaign trail. And so, I gave my first campaign promise to improve Rose Park."
