Several firefighters were injured Friday afternoon after they suddenly went hurtling through a floor that collapsed as they battled a Brooklyn building blaze, FDNY said.

Around 106 firefighters and EMS personnel responded around 5:47 p.m. to the scene of a fire at a two-story home near Williams and Dewitt Aves. in East New York. Three firefighters who entered the building had climbed up to its second story when the floor collapsed under them, sending them crashing down to the first floor, the FDNY and sources said.

Firefighters were able to get the three fallen smoke eaters — who remained conscious — out of the home. A civilian was also injured during the incident. EMS transported all four of them to local hospitals, where they were in stable condition.
