Cambridge 's cat lovers are in for a treat. The soundtrack at one local spot should soon be a symphony of meows and purrs.

Catte Latte is expected to open on Mill Road in late December. Harry Round, director of the new business, has described feeling "excited" as his "passion project" edges nearer to being fulfilled.

While Catte Latte will be a "trendy" spot, Harry said, the idea was born out of a serious issue. Customers will be able to build connections with, and ultimately adopt, the cats housed here.

The director explained: "There's a lot of problems with the cat industry in the UK. Cats are often in a bad state in rescues, which struggle with the large numbers they have to look after.
