Within eight days, the movie has earned over Rs 500 crore and gave tough competition to other releases in India. It has met the viewers’ expectations after its prequel, ‘Kantara’, set the bar high due to grand success.

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ collected Rs 22 crore on day 9. The movie collected Rs 359.40 crore in total in India.

Meanwhile, the movie has earned Rs 509.25 crore worldwide within eight days. If this stellar performance at the box office continues, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is expected to surpass the lifetime collection of ‘KGF Chapter 2’.
