TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - In a matchup that’s been dominated by the Trojans for nearly a decade, Lincoln (4-2) beat Chiles (4-3) 42-28 on Friday night to win its ninth straight game over the Timberwolves.
The teams exchanged blows in the first half, with neither squad holding more than a touchdown lead.
Untimely turnovers plagued the Timberwolves in the second half. Needing a response after an early touchdown, the ball was punched out on the kickoff return and secured by Lincoln. That play led to a Lincoln touchdown.
Then, nearing the end zone, the ball popped free on what was a promising drive from Chiles. Up next, the Timberwolves will visit Leon while Lincoln travels to TCA.
