CANONSBURG, Pa. – The mystery behind the rubber ducks that have taken over Canonsburg has been solved. For the past two weeks, thousands of rubber ducks have been appearing all over the city, including parks, streets, and windows.

At one point, 2,000 ducks lined the entire downtown street. Local businesses even joined in the fun, offering duck-themed specials.

Christopher Beers, owner of a local candy shop, admitted he was the mastermind behind the duck invasion. Beers said he wanted to bring smiles to the town and have a little fun.
