PHOENIX (AZFamily) — With forward Satou Sabally out for Game 4 of the 2025 WNBA Finals, the shorthanded Phoenix Mercury couldn’t meet the tall task of forcing another game against the Las Vegas Aces.

Dewanna Bonner got the start at power forward for Game 4 in the place of Sabally . Down 0-3 in the series, the Mercury looked to capitalize on what worked well so far.

Phoenix head coach Nate Tibbetts said a main goal of his team was to not start off in the hole like in previous games. But after one quarter, the Aces had already jumped out to an early 30-21 lead, led by 12 points from this year’s MVP A’ja Wilson.

By the time 3 minutes passed in the second quarter, the Aces had raced to a 19-point lead. They held off the Mercury for the rest of the quarter to take a 54-38 lead into halfti
