COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Delaware County mother was found guilty in connection with her son's fatal shooting case in 2024, according to the county prosecutor's office.

After a four-day trial, a jury found 40-year-old Tara Jones guilty of two counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count of improperly furnishing firearms to a minor, one count of permitting drug abuse and one count of unlawful transactions in weapons, a release from Delaware County Prosecutor Melissa Schiffel's office says.

The prosecutor's office said Jones bought a gun for her underage son, Rayshawn Anderson, who reportedly shot and killed a 38-year-old man last year.
