HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - In the tight-knit community of rural Humphreys County, Friday’s devastating plant explosion has left residents searching for ways to support the families affected by the tragedy.

Jon Anderson, owner of Bucksnort Trout Ranch, said the explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems has hit the small community particularly hard.

According to authorities, initially, 19 people were reported missing after the blast, but authorities have confirmed that a person thought to have been at the facility at the time of the explosion was found safe at home.

Authorities say 18 people remain unaccounted for.

“Oh, this is devastating,” Anderson said. “All we can do is pray.”
