Westbrook Christian football coach Steve Smith won the 300th game of his career on Friday.

The Warriors took down Trion (Ga.), 35-28 in overtime to give the former Piedmont and current Warriors coach his milestone win. Smith is in his third season at Westbrook Christian after spending 17 years with Piedmont, where he won 198 games and five state titles.

Smith has previously coached at Cedar Bluff from 1995-2005, winning 85 games and making the playoffs in his last 10 years there. He would make the playoffs all 17 seasons with Piedmont, a streak of 27 straight seasons.

Smith won state titles in 2009, 2015-16, 2019 and 2021 with the Bulldogs, going 198-36 there. He has won 16 region titles during his career as well.
