A former principal at a school in Edmond says she was wrongfully terminated after raising concerns for student safety, according to a new court filing.
In a Notice of Claim, former Will Rogers Elementary Principal Anissa Dunn accuses Edmond Public Schools of firing her after she raised concerns about what she called the district's lack of ADA-compliant playground equipment.
Additionally, Dunn's claim also includes a staff member accused of inappropriate behavior.
Dunn says before her firing, she was pressured to resign after standing up for a teacher serving in the military.
The claim is now with the Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Durmmond and State Superintendent Lindel Fields for review.
