CARTERVILLE — Nearly everything went right for the Carterville Lions Friday night as they handily defeated Massac County, 50-7, in R2R Ohio Division play.

Carterville jumped on the board before its offense ever touched the field. Sophomore defensive back Jack Dodson jumped in front of a pass on a Patriots’ third-and-9 and took the return 35 yards into the end zone for a 7-0 lead.
