MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Planned Parenthood temporarily closed its Memphis location near Summer and I-240.

The organization shared that update on its website, saying the closure was "due to the federal law passed by Congress and Trump blocking Medicaid patients from using their insurance..."

The location at 2430 Poplar Avenue remained open on Thursday, as did their locations in Nashville and Knoxville.

Regarding the closed location, Planned Parenthood said they "are exploring the most cost-effective way to deliver affordable, high quality care at this location..."
