Snider tied a dubious record Friday, falling 26-6 to Bishop Dwenger at Shields Field. The loss for the Panthers (2-6, 2-4 SAC A), their sixth of the season, tied the 1989 Snider for the most losses in a single season in school history.

The win moved Dwenger (6-2 overall) to 5-1 in the SAC’s A Division. Carroll also holds a 5-1 conference record after knocking off Northrop 48-37 on Friday.

Thanks to the conference head-to-head tiebreaker, the Saints’ 9-6 victory over the Chargers on Sept. 12 has Dwenger in position to win the SAC title with a victory next Friday over South Side.

The Saints snapped a four-game losing streak to the Panthers.
