COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The family of a baby whose body was reportedly found inside Davis Mortuary laid her remains to rest after burying false remains 13 years ago.

Soledad Laura Cordova was stillborn in 2012, and her family said she was among the 24 bodies found improperly stored inside Davis Mortuary, co-owned by former Pueblo County coroner Brian Cotter and his brother Christopher.

While investigators have not yet confirmed Soledad was found in the funeral home, her grandfather told 11 News earlier this month that the family was given what they thought were her ashes after she died, and they buried those with her grandmother.

“I’m glad she’s finally at rest,” John Cordova said.
