Pakistan asks India to send Sikh Jatha according to original Nanakshahi calendar

Chandigarh/New Delhi, October 11, 2025: Pakistan has asked Indian government to send Sikh Jatha on the occassion of Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev ji according to dates of original un-amended Nanakshahi Calendar. This decision has put the government and the SGPC and other sikh bodies in dilema as SGPC and other Sikh bodies in India use amended Nanakshahi calendar for observing historically important Sikh days.
