TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A Tucson family is navigating unimaginable grief after an industrial accident on Monday, Oct. 6, claimed the life of 26-year-old Omar Quihui.

As an outpouring of community support surrounds Omar’s family, his widow, Alexia Mungaray, shared her heartbreak and memories of the hard-working, loving man they lost.

“I’m just really proud of him; he worked until his very last breath to make everything possible for us,” Alexia said.

Her husband’s wedding ring now rests heavy on a chain over her heart, a constant and silent reminder of a life taken too soon.

“It’s hard, I don’t think it gets easier,” she said. “Just have to stay strong for the kids.”
