Despite a rough start, the 26-year-old found his groove, battling hard to stay with Holger Rune in a tense second set before completely seizing control in the decider. Rallying from a set down, Vacherot shocked the Dane 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-4 to storm into the semifinals, and in doing so, he may have just carved out yet another slice of history.
